9:30 Goat Yoga at Working with Animals Day at Our Giving Garden
Yoga can help our bodies and minds destress, relax, stretch, balance, strengthen, breathe, focus, and become more peaceful and happy. Add in some goats to the experience, and it becomes the greatest of all time!
Time & Location
Aug 19, 9:30 AM – 10:15 AM
Our Giving Garden, 79 Cooper Lake Rd SE, Mableton, GA 30126, USA
About the event
This beginner-level yoga class with special goat guests will highlight the ever-changing nature of life. Our focus will be on the concept that we can only control our reactions to what happens out in the world, even when we can't alter the nature of animals, people, or events.
We will practice breathing techniques and poses that will aid balance, strength, better sleep, stress relief, ease from anxiety, flexibility, resilience, and focus,...all while in the company of goats.
Scholarships are available to those with limited budgets. FreedOM Youth Yoga is a nonprofit with the goal of bringing yoga to kids and teens who wouldn't otherwise have the opportunity, and proceeds from this event go towards that cause. We are also delighted to collaborate and contribute to Our Giving Garden's goal of interrupting hunger in our community.
Animals can be unpredictable, so we ask that participants be older than 9, and able to comprehend the capricious nature of wild animals.
Maximum number of 10 partcipants per class.
Classes are offered at 9:30 and 10:30, in hopes of beating the heat.
Bring a beach towel (unless you don't mind cleaning goat poop off your yoga mat), and a water bottle for staying hydrated.
